Community Service
All DCPS students are required to complete 100 hours of community service in addition to the required credits in order to earn a high school diploma. Throughout the year, we provide students with a meaningful opportunities to support their community-both inside and outside of school. These have included rewarding hands-on experiences helping build homes, volunteering at a camp for special needs students. Although it’s important that students earn hours to full fill the graduation requirement, we also believe that students need to have opportunities for enriching experiences.
