DCPS will modify operations from Monday, March 16 through Tuesday, March 31 to help limit the spread of corona-virus (COVID-19) in our region. On Monday, March 16, DCPS teachers and staff will report to school to plan for distance learning. There will be no school for students. From Tuesday, March 17 to Monday, March 23, DCPS will take its Spring Break for students and teachers. There will no longer be a Spring Break period in April. From Tuesday, March 24 through Tuesday, March 31, students will participate in distance learning. On Wednesday, April 1, DCPS is scheduled to resume normal operations. Meals will be available for students every weekday at sites across the district while schools are closed. During this period, there will also be no school-sponsored activities such as athletics, extracurricular, field trips, events, or after school programs.
